Calling All Customers: Support Our Grassroots Giving Food Drive!
Join Us in the Fight Against Food Insecurity in Your Local Community!
Last year, our customers donated over 76,000 pounds of food (the equivalent of 64,000 meals)
to their community’s most vulnerable people. And this year, we want to do even more!
Weed Man is mobilizing our trucks and our franchisees to collect food for local Food Banks as part of our 2nd Annual Grassroots Giving food drive.
From September 8 to November 21 (exact dates will vary based on location), Weed Man customers are encouraged to leave food donations on their front porch on the day of their scheduled lawn service for their technician to pick up.
Last year’s inaugural Grassroots Giving campaign was a huge success, and we were overwhelmed by the number of franchisees who jumped at the chance to give back to their local communities and help those in need. We’re aiming to make an even bigger impact with this year’s event across North America.
This cause has never been more important, as 1 in 8 households in the United States are currently facing food insecurity, while 1 in 5 Canadian families don’t have sufficient access to quality food and other basic needs.
We’re seeking shelf-stable, non-perishable items, such as canned goods, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and more. Customers are encouraged to contact their local Weed Man for more information about the specific needs of their community, including the most-needed items and any restrictions on what can be donated.
