Employee Appreciation Day

National Employee Appreciation Day is celebrated on the first Friday of each March. It is a day for managers, company leadership, and human resources personnel to recognize and celebrate the achievements of employees in every sector.

The observance was established in 1995 by Dr. Bob Nelson to remind employers to thank employees for their good work. Dr. Nelson collaborated with Workman Publishing to make the holiday appear on workplace calendars, and the day has been celebrated ever since.
