Generous Holiday Donations from Weed Man

Epic3 Group Benefit Ronald McDonald House and Middleton, WI School District

At Weed Man, we’re proud to be locally owned and operated in communities across the USA and Canada, and all of our franchises love to support their communities by giving back! Here’s just one example of how Epic3, one of our largest franchise groups, made an impact for two incredibly important local organizations: Ronald McDonald House and the Middleton, WI School District.

The teams at Epic3’s franchise locations work hard all year ‘round, and they’re encouraged to bring suggestions of local causes that are on their hearts. “How we determine our funding is very employee focused,” said Kyle Lyne, Epic3’s director of marketing. “It’s one team, one goal.”

With more than 200 employees at the annual holiday party, Epic3 presented a generous donation of $42,000 to the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee, WI. This donation will go a long way toward funding lighting in the Ronald McDonald House’s new outdoor play area, and it follows a strong track record of Epic3’s support to the Ronald McDonald House. Over the last 5 years, they’ve donated more than $120,000!

During the holiday party, Epic3 also donated $20,000 to the Middleton WI school district to aid in the procurement of flexible seating for students at Sauk Trail Elementary. “Thanks to the generous donation from Weed Man, Sauk Trail Elementary now has a tremendous opportunity to improve the learning environment,” wrote Shannon Valladolid from the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. “This donation will allow them to upgrade between 5 to 7 classrooms with new tables and chairs, creating a more flexible and student-friendly atmosphere.”

Epic3’s Track Record of Community Outreach

These holiday donations come right on the heels of Epic3’s major donations to community food banks. Thanks to the hard work of Weed Man’s frontline employees and the generosity of Weed Man customers, Epic3 donated about 20,000 pounds of food to local food banks in Idaho, Utah, Wisconsin, Illinois, Colorado, and Texas!

“In the past 5 or 6 years,” said Kyle Lyne, “we’ve made it a priority to give back to our community. It’s one of the pillars of our organization… We try to make sure that every location has at least two causes that are near and dear to them – food drives, soccer teams, a robotics club – that we can donate to from their local branch. But then everybody knows that our national effort is donating to the Ronald Mcdonald house in a big way, and everyone’s a part of that.”

We want to give everyone in the Epic3 group a HUGE round of applause. Congratulations to the teams at the following locations: Arvada, CO; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Buda, TX; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas East, TX; Denver, CO; Des Moines, IA; Elgin, IL; Green Bay, WI; Hartford, WI; Iowa City, IA; Janesville, WI; Kansas City, MO; Madison, WI; Milwaukee, WI; Naperville, IL; Ogden, UT; Oklahoma City, OK; Omaha, NE; South Fort Worth, TX; Springfield, MO; and Salt Lake City, UT.
