Third Generation Family Business Takes Over Ownership of Traverse City Lawn Care Franchise

The DeVissers Have Their Sights Set on Growth

Weed Man Traverse City is officially under new ownership! Brothers Nate and Joel DeVisser, owners of Weed Man Kalamazoo and Weed Man South Bend, are thrilled to carry on their family’s generations of green industry experience in the Traverse City area.

What began in the 1930s with their grandfather’s design-build company has grown over eight decades to include thriving Weed Man franchises in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana.

With this expansion into Traverse City, the DeVissers have their sights set on growth, providing exceptional lawn care services to their communities and creating career opportunities for their employees. “The most rewarding part of the work is seeing your people grow, and seeing them care, and seeing them buy into the culture,” says Nate DeVisser.

With the 2024 lawn care season underway, the Weed Man Traverse City team is ready to hit the ground running!

Congratulations and best wishes to Mike and Laura Johnson, the previous owners of Weed Man Traverse City. Enjoy your well deserved retirement!
